Tree height 18.0m, chest height around 2.9m. Located along the road in the former Akizuki Castle Nakamachi.
There are few trees as large as Maki, and the appearance of standing in the traditional townscape against the surrounding mountains is also a symbol of this town. The tree is estimated to be between 400 and 500 years old.And it is said that was a property of Kuroda Nagaoki when he was here, or the stuff left by Akizuki clan.
