Tree height 24.0m, chest height around 3.2m. A large tree that is over 400 years old. The Tanaka Tenmangu shrine was rebuilt with the shrine facing the direction of Shimabara in the era of Nagashige, because the prayer for luck of the ancestor Nagaoki was fullfilled when Shimabara war happend.
Many lords visited the shrine. In 1876, it was a place of where the Akizuki samurai gathered. It was a historical site for the upheavals that took place around the end of the Edo Period.
